England 2015

From June 13th to 19th 2015 we travelled to London (Pinner) for our school language project. We flew from Innsbruck to London Gatwick and by tube up into the northwest to Pinner. Our host families picked us up and we spent our first night there. On Sunday we went on a sightseeing tour on an open double-decker bus through the main parts of  London for about half an hour. It was a bit rainy and so we decided to celebrate birthday with Anna (one of our girls) in an amazing confectionery.

Afterwards we went on our boat tour from Westminster to Tower Bridge. Later we continued our sightseeing bus tour in lovely weather. On Monday there were four lessons at OME language school . We did a lot of talking and played different games. After lunch in Pinner Memorial Park we made our way to the most fascinating Ferris wheel in Europe.

We had a really gorgeous view from the top of  London Eye. Later in the afternoon we also visited Tower Bridge Exhibition. It was really interesting and all the girls took lots of wicked photos down through the new glass bottom (Glass Experience). On the next day we went to Baker Street by tube. There we admired Madame Tussauds, a famous waxwork museum. We took a lot of photos with all those popular celebrities.

On Wednesday we started at the London Dungeon which was really scary and the smell was terrible down there. Most of the girls were rather afraid of the thrilling experience. In the afternoon we travelled to Camden Town (Horse Stable Market) to go shopping. Within two hours we could get everything we liked and saw a lot of amazing and weird shops. We tried some new foreign foodstuff as well. On Thursday morning we had four lessons at OME language school again. After school we went to see the musical “Mamma Mia” at Covent Garden. It was absolutely amazing and most of us liked it very much. Everybody was dressed dead-gorgeously.

At home we started to pack our suitcases for the next day. On Friday we flew back from Gatwick to Innsbruck, but our flight was three hours delayed. Our families were already waiting for us at the airport. We drove back home and showed our great number of photos. We think all of us enjoyed London very much. Finally we have to say that every-thing was working out really smoothly.
